The slide Trumpet (aka:
Soprano Trumbone) looks just like the Trombone but sounds just lke a Trumpet. It uses a trumpet mouthpiece and has seven (7) slide positions as a trombone. Sounds an octve above the Tenor Trombone. This instrument was a typical part of the Orchestra as late as 1850 and was at the disposal of Joseph Haydn while he was employed by the Princes Esterhazy.
